Welcome to the Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival 2018

© 2018 Lincoln International Chamber Music Festival

This year focuses its attention on two major centenaries - the death of Debussy and the end of World War 1. Across four recitals we explore the remarkable influence of one of the 20th Century’s most admired composers and the impact of the Great War on the artists of its time. We’re particularly excited to present For the Fallen, a new project combining ten of the nation’s favourite war poems with carefully chosen pieces of music.

The line-up of artists is full of familiar faces, and we’re delighted that Thomas Carroll will be performing three of Bach’s solo cello suites in a special The Magic of Bach concert. Many of you will remember the wonderful French violinist, Doriane Gable, who stepped in at very short notice to replace an ailing artist in 2017; she returns to LICMF this year with a specially formed string quartet of outstanding chamber musicians.

Thanks to you - our audience - for your continued support. We hope you’ll enjoy our programme as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it. Please do spread the word!
